The Level 3 Teaching Qualification we offer is the ideal foundation course for anyone looking to teach in the adult education and skills sector. You can take this course regardless of your skill level to start on the path towards your career goal and learn at a pace which suits you since it’s completely online-based learning. The Level 3 AET has approximately 48 hours of study time and, including research and assessment time, takes approximately 120 hours to complete. You can choose how you wish to divide these hours. You may wish to complete the course in a matter of weeks or spread it over the entire twelve months. This qualification was previously known as PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector). *Completely online *Helping you teach in the adult sector *Tutor support provided in addition to online materials *Qualifications regulated by OFQUAL Assignments- Learners are expected to write a number of short assignments for each of the sections within the award. The assignments should include theory and relate to real workplace or teaching situations to make relevant points. Your tutor will provide feedback and give the opportunity to resubmit assignments if additional work is required. Microteaching- The final assessment in this course is the delivery of a 15-minute microteaching session which you will record and upload to your tutor for marking. The microteaching should demonstrate the content you have studied in the 3 units of the award including: An introduction, aims and outcomes, icebreaker and health and safety Deliver an inclusive lesson using a range of resources and methods Assess the learner and summarize the lesson Learners will be expected to provide a range of written material to support their lesson including; scheme of work, lesson plan, learner evaluation and a self-evaluation of their performance.
